Who We Are

Owner Christie Klingl

I was inspired to be a Senior Move Manager after witnessing the struggle my parents had moving across the country after living in their home for 30 years.  All of my siblings including myself lived long distance. As a Project Manager in the corporate arena, I dove in to assist. Helping them to downsize their belongings was the first step, staging the house and finding a realtor all very taxing, a bit emotional and downright exhausting.  Euphoria once the house was sold but then another hurdle: packing, more downsizing, and finding a trustworthy mover to transport their belongings long distance. Once my parents had safely and securely transitioned to their new location I knew what my purpose was in the next journey of my career and that is the beginning of Journey In Order. 
As with helping my own parents we treat our clients with empathy and compassion and we offer a customized approach to meet individual needs.

What is a Senior Move Manager

   Some seniors have no surviving children, or increasingly, their children are older adults themselves. If illness or death precipitates the move, perhaps the family is already drained both emotionally and physically. They need help. Senior Move Managers emerged to fill these gaps and to facilitate the transition for everyone involved.

   Older adults making a transition have usually not moved in 30, 40 or 50 years and need to downsize considerably. The organizational and physical tasks associated with planning and implementing such a complex move can be overwhelming for the entire family. We can help!
